Magnesia Spinel Brick

Magnesium-aluminum spinel bricks are made from high-purity magnesia and pre-synthesized magnesium-aluminum spinel as the main raw materials, through reasonable proportioning, high-pressure molding, and high-temperature firing. They possess high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, a low coefficient of thermal expansion, and good thermal shock resistance, making them an ideal refractory material for the transition zone of cement rotary kilns.

二.Features:

The preparation of bauxite-based sintered magnesium aluminum spinel utilizes high-quality bauxite with an Al₂O₃ content of ≥76% and high-quality light-burned magnesia powder with an MgO content of ≥95% as raw materials.  After optimization through a multi-stage deep homogenization process, the materials are sintered in an ultra-high temperature tunnel kiln at extreme temperatures above 1800℃. This product possesses technical characteristics such as high bulk density, sufficient main crystal phase content, complete crystal grain development, and a uniform and dense microstructure, resulting in outstanding product quality stability. In terms of performance, this magnesium aluminum spinel material exhibits excellent comprehensive wear resistance: it not only has strong resistance to erosion, corrosion, and spalling, but also boasts industry-leading resistance to slag erosion and abrasion.  It also possesses excellent thermal shock stability and high-temperature resistance, making it suitable for various extreme operating conditions.

三.Application

1. Iron and Steel Metallurgy Industry

The core application is in high-temperature critical areas such as ladle slag lines and RH refining furnace immersion tubes, where it can stably withstand extreme conditions of 1600-1800℃; in the electric arc furnace roof delta area, its service life is 2-3 times longer than traditional magnesia refractory bricks, significantly reducing maintenance costs.

2. Cement Rotary Kiln

Suitable for the lining requirements of the transition zone of rotary kilns, according to the ASTM C1171 test standard, the thermal shock resistance cycle can reach more than 50 times; it has excellent resistance to high-alkali corrosion, controlling the annual penetration depth of K₂O medium to within 1mm, effectively extending the service life of the kiln.

3. Petrochemical Field

Widely used as a lining material for catalytic cracking reactors, and also suitable for use in gasifier thermal protection layers. The product's compressive strength exceeds 60MPa, meeting the structural stability requirements of high-temperature and high-pressure conditions in the chemical industry.

4. Special Ceramics Manufacturing Field

It can be processed into kiln furniture such as push plates and saggers in electronic ceramic sintering processes, and can also be used as a special molding die for the preparation of transparent ceramics. The material purity needs to be strictly controlled above 99.5% to ensure the microstructure and performance stability of special ceramics.
